Go to new heights and enjoy the mountains of the Alpes-Maritimes

The season is open. Find out more about the pistes in our ski areas.

The Alpes-Maritimes department has several mountain stations for the enjoyment of amateurs of the slopes.  Discover the department’s three exceptional areas.

First is Auron, a real resort village at an altitude of 1600 m, which is 1.5 hours from Nice and offers numerous sport and recreational activities for all ages.  It is sure to please mountain lovers who will have the pleasure of enjoying the wonderful countryside.

Near the Italian border is Isola 2000, a ski station at 2000 m, which provides a calming and stunning view for all its visitors. There are 42 ski pistes, which guarantee that you will have an enjoyable and unforgettable experience.

Finally, at an altitude of 1700 m and approximately 85 km from Nice, Valberg welcomes you with its 23 ski lifts, 56 pistes, and 25 km of paths for cross-country skiing or snowshoeing.  This resort village is perfect for families due to its courses for toddlers at the local nursery school.  Facilities were put in to increase your comfort such as a heated pool with a view of the pistes.  If you don’t like to ski, you can go horseback riding, play snow golf, or go snowmobiling.
