Biography

Steeve is a marine biologist – biogeochemist CNRS research scientist, working in the Laboratoire d’Océanographie de Villefranche sur Mer. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Pierre and Marie Curie in Paris working on the effects of ocean acidification on pteropods in the Mediterranean and Arctic seas. From 2011 to 2017, his research focused on the biogeochemical and biological effects of global change on coral reefs, mainly on corals and coralline algae from Australia, French Polynesia, Hawaii and Okinawa, Japan. He moved back to France in the Laboratoire d’Océanographie de Villefranche sur Mer in January 2018 to work on the effects of environmental drivers on Mediterranean benthic ecosystems.
