Launch of OTESIA, the first observatory on artificial intelligence in France and Europe

In November 2019, the University of the Côte d'Azur, which runs the 3IA Côte d'Azur Institute, made a commitment alongside the Alpes-Maritimes Departmental Council, the Sophia Antipolis Urban Community (CASA) and the Nice Côte d'Azur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) to launch OTESIA, the 1st Observatory of the Economic and Social Impact of Artificial Intelligence (“Observatoire des Impacts Technologiques Économiques et Sociétaux de l’Intelligence Artificielle” in French).

The ambition is to carry a responsible and ethical Artificial Intelligence, where the human being is at the heart of the reflections. This is why they launched the Observatory of the Technological, Economic and Social Impacts of Artificial Intelligence (OTESIA): a unique initiative in France but also in Europe. This observatory is strongly inspired by the International Observatory of the Social Impacts of Artificial and Digital Intelligence (OBVIA) in Laval, Quebec.
