Sarah Lasry




Born in Paris, Sarah Lasry grew up in Chicago. She obtained a BA in Drama (theatre, film and television) from the University of Bristol (UK), a Masters in Performance Studies from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts and studied directing at the National Conservatory of Theatre (CNSAD) in Paris. Sarah worked as a television journalist for shows on Canal+ and France 5 specializing in film and literature, whilst directing making-of's and music videos. In 2013, her first short film Stolen Voices starring Elisa Lasowski was produced by Triade Films and selected in numerous festivals worldwide. She also obtained the Young Jury Award at Valence Screenwriting Festival for her script of Xynthia. Sarah has just graduated from la FÉMIS screenwriting workshop where she developed Bad Taste, a dark comedy about the fierce rivalry between a mother and daughter in the flamboyant world of television. Her new feature film project is a psychological thriller that explores spiritism, womanhood, sexual transgression and loss.
