The French Riviera Geology
The French Riviera ('La Côte d'Azur !') has extremely varied and always spectacular natural environments.
It is indeed the place where the Alps and the Mediterranean sea meet and accordingly offer a great geological diversity that allows access to nearly 500 million years of history of our planet.
From sea to mountain ... enjoy your geological discovery between the cities along the sea (as Monaco, Nice, Antibes, Cannes, Fréjus) and the very close mountains (as Grasse, Isola, Mercantour National Park) !
Welcome to Polytech Sophia (UCA)
Welcome to Centre International de Valbonne
Nice Côte d'Azur Airport (IATA: NCE), is a French international airport in Nice city.
In terms of passenger traffic, it ranks third among French airports, after the airports of Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Paris-Orly.
It was built on an area partially won over the sea located in the extension of the Promenade des Anglais, along the Var.
Its special geographical position gives passengers a spectacular landing along the coast of the French Riviera with stunning views over the islands, bays, beaches, mountains and agglomeration that provides the magical picture. It is one of the most beautiful approach to airports in the world.
