6 new Chairs for 3IA Côte d’Azur!

6 new Chairs to reinforce "Smart Territories" and "Computational Biology"

The Selection Committee was tasked with selecting new Chairs from among the 35 excellent applications received. The selection was guided by the criteria described in the call for applications, notably:
Priority was given to original proposals on the themes of bio-inspired AI or Smart and Secured Territories.
Strong links with industry and companies.

The Selection Committee was composed of the 3IA Côte d'Azur Scientific Council and invited high-level scientific experts. The Director of the Institute ratified the final selection.

List of the new 3IA Côte d’Azur Chairs:

  •  Theme 3 "AI for Computational Biology and Bio-Inspired AI"

- Pascal Barbry: "Human Lung Atlas”
- Benoit Miramond: "Bio-inspired AI from neurosciences to embedded autonomous devices”

  • Theme 4 "AI for smart and secure territories"

- David Gesbert: “Internet of Learning Thing: A machine learning approach to future IoT networks”
- Paola Goatin: "Data driven traffic management"
- Cédric Richard: "AI for smart cities monitoring with distributed fiber optic sensing"

The name of the 6th Chair holder will be disclosed in June….Stay tuned!
