After doing research on developing novel methods of diagnosing athletes’ ACL health status using surface electromyographic signals, time-frequency analysis, and deep learning methods in my Master of Science, I focused on developing accurate methods of calculating lower limb joints’ active torsional stiffness based on biomechanical modelling of the body and combinatorial optimization algorithms. These researches were done in cooperation with Sports Sciences Research Institute of IRAN and University of Tabriz.

Since late 2020, I began working on my PhD at LAMHESS Laboratory (Human Motricity Education Sport Health Laboratory) of University of Cote d'Azur in cooperation with INRIA (AROMATH Team), University Hospital of NICE, EKINNOX Company and CIRRIS research center of University of LAVAL. In my PhD project, our goal is to develop methodology to implement into low-cost motion analysis systems (Markerless) in order to accurately quantify gait deviation parameters of patients. To this end, we use a single RGB-D camera and we develop novel biomechanical models (kinematic-geometric) for the lower limb joints which after applying the models on depth data of the joints when walking
  1. the output gives us the possibility of calculating all biomechanical parameters,
  2. the models automatically identify gait events during optimization/fitting process, and
  3. the models are robust enough to be applied on different population (Healthy, Stroke, Children, etc).
