Introduction

This double degree with a limited capacity of 35 students per year, allows students to obtain both degrees, a degree in Chemistry and a degree in Life Sciences. This course aims to give a bi-disciplinary education in the fields of Chemistry and Biology. This program opens wide possibilities for further study in both fields, at their crossroads, or in research and engineering.

This demanding program combines theoretical and practical knowledge while encouraging students to become autonomous. The objective is to provide equal competencies in Biology and Chemistry. Competencies developed: Scientific mind (capacity to analyze and synthecize) and critical mind Capacity to formulate hypotheses and conduct experiments to test them Familiarity with laboratory work Proficiency in computer, mathematical and statistical tools

The program includes: Theoretical and experimental knowledge in general, organic and analytical chemistry Theoretical and experimental knowledge in biology: cell biology, biochemistry, genetics & physiology, biology of organisms, ecology, evolutionary biology Knowledge in mathematics useful to biology and chemistry General and scientific English Finally, students will be given the opportunity to personally manage a project, which includes bibliographic research, and an experimental component completed during the last semester.
