Thèmes de recherche

My research aims mainly at understanding better the role of fluids in the mechanics of the Earth’s crust, especially seismic and aseismic fault behaviors and the hydromechanics of fractured rocks. I am interested in developing new approaches combined from experiments and hydromechanical modelling for the study of earthquakes, landslides, injection-induced seismicity in crustal reservoirs, and the dynamics of aseismic slip on faults and its interactions with earthquakes. My projects have implications for seismic hazard, and underground geo-energy applications (geothermal resources, carbon dioxide sequestration, etc.) with limited environmental impact.
