Thèmes de recherche

My research aims mainly at understanding better the role of fluids in the mechanics of the Earth’s crust, especially seismic and aseismic fault deformation. I am interested in developing new approaches combined from experiments and hydromechanical modelling for the study of earthquakes, landslides, injection-induced seismicity in crustal reservoirs, and the dynamics of aseismic slip on faults and its interactions with earthquakes. My projects have implications for seismic hazard, and underground geo-energy applications (geothermal resources, carbon dioxide sequestration, etc.) with limited environmental impact.
