On October 10, 2025, in Nice, Academy 3 “Space, Environment, Risks, and Resilience” held its Inaugural Seminar at the Pathé Gare du Sud cinema. The event featured a morning of interdisciplinary presentations and scientific discussions focused on environmental and climate challenges.
This seminar marked the official launch of “On the Road to COP Climate”, a series of events running until December 10, taking place both across Université Côte d’Azur campuses and at COP30 in Belém.
Inspiring speakers led conferences on a wide range of topics—from marine geochemistry to climate diplomacy and territorial resilience—offering a multidisciplinary perspective on the challenges ahead.
The seminar also provided an opportunity to bring together faculty members, researchers, PhD candidates, and students to build a collective momentum for anticipation and action in the face of environmental transitions.
“On the Road to COP Climate” embodies this collective spirit. It aims to mobilize the entire Université Côte d’Azur community through a series of events dedicated to environmental issues, organized during the period surrounding COP30. This initiative unfolds both on Côte d’Azur campuses and through active participation in international negotiations, with an official University delegation present in Belém.
