Ulysseus University supports post-docs in their application to the call for proposal Marie Curie (MSCA) Post-doctoral Fellowship (PF)

What is the MSCA PF call ?

The call for action provides funding for the post-doc salary as well as for the environment of research, training and networking for a duration of 12 to 36 months.

How?

A post-doc identifies a supervisor within one of our member University and works on a scientific project.

When?

The European Commission will launch the call for projects in April 2024 with a deadline for submission of applications on 11th September 2024. The selected projects may start from April 2025.

What does Ulysseus provides ?

Ulysseus University supports the application at three levels :

• Matching between post-doc and supervisors
• Online Master Class on how to draft a winning proposals (with the support our respective ministries)
• Some post-docs will benefit from an extra mobility grant to visit their potential host institution

What we offer ?

A virtual networking meetup event between the MSCA-PF candidates and potential Host PI supervisors.

The selected candidates shall benefit from a “Master Class”, an intensive 2-days online training, to boost their knowledge and ability to prepare successful MSCA-PF proposals.

And more…! At stake is a on-site immersion program (travel and accommodation included) to meet- up with your potential Host PI in the Host Institution of your choice!

The selected candidates shall benefit from the local network of the Host PI, and if interested, can benefit from cooperation secondments with non-academic partners or international academic partners of Ulysseus.

Eligibility criteria

The MSCA-PF call is open to candidates of any nationality.

The MSCA-PF candidates must comply with the following rules:

• They must be in possession of a doctoral degree at the date of the call deadline (Sept. 11th, 2024).
• They must have a maximum of 8 years full-time equivalent experience in research, measured from the date of doctoral degree awarding.
• They must be currently or have been (in the last 3 years) employed / enrolled by one of the Ulysseus Partners or associated partners
• They must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the Host Institution’s country for more than 12 months in the 36 months immediately preceding the call deadline.
• Only one proposal per candidate is eligible.
• Candidates who have applied to the MSCA-PF 2023 Call and received an evaluation below 70% are not eligible for an application in 2024.
