CALL FOR APPLICATIONS ADVANCED RESEARCH PROGRAM 2024_INTERNAL CAMPAIGN

As part of its commitment to excellence and international prominence, the Initiative of Excellence of Université Côte d'Azur is launching the 2024 call for applications for the IdEx Advanced Research Chairs.

As part of its Advanced Research Program, Université Côte d'Azur is launching its 6th call for internal applications from researchers, faculty and artists for excellence research projects aimed at supporting original and very high-level disciplinary research across all scientific and artistic fields represented at Université Côte d'Azur and establish ambitious international collaborations.
 
This call is offered to local active lecturers and researchers, having at least the status of maître de conférences or chargé de recherche (or equivalent), as well as artists on the basis of a research project in art and creation.

Funding
 
  • Operating expenses 800€/month,
  • Salary for up to 12 months of an engineer contract (CDD),
  • A teaching release of maximum 96 hours per year can be requested in agreement with the employer, to be approved by the Academic Council,
  • One month of invited professorship visiting professor in order to help in establishing an ambitious international collaboration.

The above package will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis according to the needs of each project.

Eligibility


This call is open to local active lecturers and researchers, having at least the status of maître de conférences or chargé de recherche, as well as artists on the basis of a research project in art and creation. Post-doctoral fellows and professors emeriti are not eligible to apply. Artistic projects that are not strongly linked to a research project are also not eligible.

Selection and timeline


Applications will be reviewed by a multidisciplinary committee consisting of internal and external experts.

Selection criteria are:

  • Quality of the candidate's CV,
  • Scientific and strategic interest of the project,
  • Candidates will select and highlight the elements of their CVs that demonstrate their scientific excellence.


The deadline to apply is April 22, 2024.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an oral interview at Université Côte d’Azur in June 2024.

The start of the chair is no later than January 30, 2025.
