Introduction

The ‘Economic Analysis & Policy’ programme aims to provide a general pre-doctoral training in economics, with a possible specialization in digital economics and artificial intelligence. The course focuses on the fundamentals of microeconomics, macroeconomics and econometrics, complemented by the realization of an original applied research project carried out throughout the year.

The programme is aimed at :
  • students who have already studied economics and wish to prepare for a PhD
  • students with more varied backgrounds, particularly those from engineering sciences, who wish to acquire additional skills in economics.
The programme lasts one full year and is taught entirely in English. Upon completion of the programme, students may either pursue careers as economic researchers or doctoral studies. Completion of the programme does not guarantee admission to a doctoral programme, as the conditions for admission are set by the doctoral schools.

The programme aims to train students in applied economic research and enables them to acquire skills in theoretical and empirical analysis. During the year, students must carry out an original applied research project under the supervision of a lecturer-researcher, corresponding typically to requests from socio-economic actors in the region.

Key features of the programme:
