Cooperation for European sovereignty and competitiveness: The role of the quadruple helix in the development of the Quantum Industry
As we experiment the fourth industrial revolution, key enabling technologies (KET) are of outmost importance to guarantee an interconnected, digitalised, and resilient Europe while securing its position in the global economy. In this context, European research strategy in quantum theory and application faces urgent challenges at the heart of the European sovereignty and competitiveness strategy.
Conscious of the role of the quadruple helix in addressing these challenges through the continuum between training, research and innovation, Université Côte d’Azur has committed alongside its ecosystem to the development of key initiatives, such as, the development an operational quantum cryptography bridge, working full-time and continuously on the Alpes Maritimes Territory or the education of a new generation of quantum scientists by providing trainings profoundly irrigated by research.
Relying on the European political context and under the prism of cooperation, Université Côte d'Azur proposes a workshop focusing on four main challenges related to this quantum challenges : public-private cross-collaboration, infrastructures, continuum between training, research & innovation, and European Sovereignty.
This workshop will benefit from the expertise of various stakeholders who share a common strong commitment towards the development of an ambitious and competitive strategy at a European level in the field of Quantum Technologies. Among speakers:
