Activités / CV

PhD Student in Social Psychology

"The most exciting phrase to hear in science, the one that heralds new discoveries, is not “Eureka!” (I found it!) but “That’s funny” "
Isaac Asimov

She completed a Bachelor's degree in psychology (2017) and a Master's degree in social psychology (2019) from the Université Côte d'Azur, Nice.

In 2019, she is entering a PhD program under the supervision of Isabelle Milhabet (Professor in Social Psychology, LAPCOS) and Pierre Thérouanne (Assistant Professor in Cognitive Psychology and Cognitive Ergonomics, LAPCOS) at the LAPCOS laboratory (Université Côte d'Azur). Her thesis aims at understanding how people perceive social robots (i.e., robots that have verbal and non-verbal interaction capabilities) as a function of their feeling of control (or not) in different situations and social contexts.

In 2021, during her thesis, she became a study engineer in two ANR projects (National Research Agency). The first one, in the field of social psychology of sport (ANR, "Optimizing Paralympic performance: from detection to medal-winning", Paralympic Games - Paris 2024, PARAPERF), aimed at studying Para-sport High Performance through coping strategies used during competitions, dynamics between teammates, between the athlete and his/her guide or with coaches. The second, at the crossroads of social psychology and sociology (ANR "Génèse et Expérience des DIScriminations", GEDIS), aimed at studying the discriminations exercised by members of an exogroup (i.e., the more recognized) and the possible differences with those exercised by members of an endogroup. The same year she became a member of the Research Ethics Committee (REC) of the Université Côte d'Azur and co-directed the "Methodological Workshops" of the LAPCOS laboratory.
