Introduction

The Pure and Applied Mathematics Track (MPA) is an international Euro-Maghreb master's degree offering extensive training in mathematics, developing skills ranging from pure mathematics such as algebra, analysis or geometry to more applied mathematics such as scientific calculation, probability or statistics.  MPA enables students to model complex phenomena found in fields such as finance, biology or physics.

The program is designed to provide students with a profound understanding of a specific mathematical field.
Following studies in fundamental mathematics, this one-year program is dedicated to a specialization in one of the following areas:

  •  Algebra and Geometry
  • Analysis-Scientific Computation
  • Probability-Statistics

Each specialization allows students to attain the necessary level to continue onto a thesis. At the end of the thesis, graduates have the opportunity to pursue careers as teacher-researchers in universities or researchers at CNRS, INRIA.

Why Choose Our Program?

The MPA Specialization is an International Euro-Maghreb Master awarding a double degree from EDHEC. Our strong engagement with the economic world and  international relationships provide you with unparalleled opportunities. Gain invaluable international experience and cultural exposure thanks to our Erasmus Mundus Mathmods exchange program.

MPA Specialization Highlights
  • International Euro-Maghreb Master's
  • Integration into research laboratories in M1 and M2
  • Numerous opportunities in the economic, fundamental research and industrial research spheres.
  • Individualized support for each student
  • Access to research labs during both M1 and M2.
  • Diverse career prospects in fields such as economics, fundamental research, and industrial research.
  • Comprehensive mathematics training, covering foundational and applied concepts.
  • Emphasis on international opportunities.
  • Internationally orientated

Admission

Prerequisite

Undergraduate level

MPA is open to students who have complete their bachelor's degree and the first year of their Master's in Mathematics.

The modules included in the master's obtained must be equivalent to those offered in fundamental mathematics. In some cases, applicants with an M1 equivalence may also be considered.

Conditions of applications

Step 1

Submit Application via e-Candidat

Applications must be created and submitted via eCandidat between approximately May 15th and July 15th annually.

The pedagogical team will then review your application and contact you for a potential interview.
The maximum wait time for a response is 2 months.

Step 2
Follow the Campus France Procedure for your Visa
International students applying from the following countries are required to submit their application to Campus France before applying for their visa.  To submit an application, follow the procedure Etudes en France as early in advance as possible. The application deadline runs from October 1st, 2023.

Algeria, Argentina, Benin, Brazil, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Chile, China, Colombia, Comoros, Congo, Ivory Coast, Democratic Republic of Congo, Djibouti, Egypt, Gabon, Guinea, India, Indonesia, Iran, Japan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Madagascar, Mali, Mauritania, Mauritius, Mexico, Morocco, Peru, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Togo, Tunisia, Turkey, United States of America, Vietnam

Step 3
Apply for your visa if necessary via the French government's official website.
