BCL is a laboratory integrating linguists and psychologists whose research focuses on language as a cognitive function: its structures and processes, its functioning and its acquisition. The laboratory seeks to strengthen Nice's reputation in language studies through dialectics drawn from the interweaving of a constructed and theorized object (the corpus), a methodology (the confluence of empiricism and theory) and expertise in specific themes (enunciation, contact between languages, lexicometry, dialectology, formal generative grammar, language acquisition, psycholinguistics, language teaching).
