Theme 1: Dynamics of innovation and management of stakeholder networks 
Researchers in this theme explore the process of innovation in user practices. They adopt the approach of “co-innovation”, which emphasizes the idea that innovation is shared between numerous and diverse players. 
 
Theme 2: Heritage, culture, creation and development of regions in the digital age 
Researchers in this theme analyze the reconfiguration of industries and cultural institutions as information and communication systems that have been disrupted by digital technologies.

International relations

The SIC.Lab has links with the University of Geneva (publications), the Free University of Brussels, the Corvinus University of Budapest (Erasmus agreement), the Universities of Bucharest and Cluj (conferences, publications, co-supervision), and the Universities of Magdeburg in Germany and Sofia in Bulgaria (partners of the Trinational program).  
 
Outside Europe, the team's researchers have developed close relationships with Mohamed V University in Morocco, the University of Constantine 3 in Algeria, the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, Université Antonine in Lebanon, the University of Bogota in Colombia, the University of Saint-Louis in Dakar and the UQAM in Montreal, through guest researchers, co-supervision and conferences.  

Industrial relations

SIC.Lab is strengthening its links, developed by I3M researchers during previous contracts, with companies, associations and communities at a local and regional level. It is also continuing its cooperation with other research units of Université Côte d'Azur. It is also developing closer relations with members of Université Côte d'Azur, in particular within the framework of the PARTITA program (funded by Academy 5) which associates SKEMA Business School, GREDEG, CNNR and ERAC.  
 
It is also developing relationships within the LASH Faculty with the LIRCES, CRHI and LAPCOS laboratories and the Art and Design Schools that are members of Université Côte d'Azur.
