Introduction

The objective of the program is to train students in multimedia news reporting, from writing articles and designing documentaries all the way to the technical aspects of production and the final document. It also teaches students critical objectivity and the ethics necessary to transmit quality information.

The program prepares students for recruitment contests for jobs in premium media organizations and for positions in web editorial teams. Graduates work as press editors, photographic journalists, mobile journalists, for television, audiovisual production companies, or for the web. Unique features of the program: Active participation in many events. Production of a 13-minute magazine Selected students participate in exclusive multimedia journalistic competitions International: partnership with Oslo and Akershus University College (Norway) and the School of Journalism and Communication of Casablanca (Morocco). Students are assessed on their ability to: Know the press and media business Keep abreast of the news and critically analyze information Approach the different specialties (international, domestic politics, business, sport, security) Know how to identify and prioritize important news; know how to develop themes Put current affairs into perspective and follow the major news stories Master the techniques of investigation and interviewing, respect editorial policy Know the rules of ethics and regulatory authorities of the profession Master the techniques of interviewing and investigation Master the various tools of multimedia production and broadcasting: understand cameras and the meaning of images Know how to produce a web documentary Have a perfect command of French and one or two foreign languages, including English Curiosity, adaptability, initiative, perseverance; know how to work in a team

An exam session is organized at the end of the theoretical courses. The 13-min magazine and the webdoc are evaluated at the end of the year by a jury made up of professionals and teachers as part of a public screening session.
