Introduction

The LAS track (bachelor’s degree with access to health studies) is for students enrolled in the multidisciplinary undergraduate program in economics and management who are preparing for health studies. Students attend lectures held on Wednesdays during Semester 1 and on Thursday and Friday mornings during Semester 2 at the Saint Jean d'Angely Campus.

All LAS students are exempt from directed study (travaux dirigés). They take four subjects each semester and have a final exam in January for Semester 1 and in May for Semester 2.

Course organisation

The courses are organised into 12 2-hour sessions, with recordings available on Moodle. It is recommended that you attend the courses regularly to ensure that you assimilate them better.

Knowledge assessment procedures

There are no eliminatory marks in the LAS course. Each teaching unit (UE) is validated if the average obtained for the UE is greater than or equal to 10/20. Within each UE, there is a possibility of compensation between the different elements making up the UE (ECUE). A semester is considered to have been passed if the overall average for the semester is also greater than or equal to 10/20, with the possibility of offsetting between the different units in the semester.

To be authorised to sit the competitive entrance examination at the end of the year, students must have passed their semester at the first session (session 1) with an average of at least 10/20, taking into account the compensation between semesters. In the event of deferral (AJ) during session 1, the student must repeat the ECUEs in which he/she obtained a mark of less than 10 in the deferred UEs of the deferred semesters. If the student is admitted (ADM) at the end of session 2, he/she may then proceed to LAS2. If they are not, they will be redirected to enrol in L1 outside LAS, as repeating LAS 1 is not permitted.
