Call for “ Thematic Semester ” Projects 2026-2027

This funding scheme aims to support original initiatives bringing together a large interdisciplinary team, around a number of activities and scientific events on an emerging and/or risky theme. The main objective of the Thematic semesters is to bring together researchers from different backgrounds on various themes, and that the themes declined in these semesters may promote the emergence of new collaborations, or even new communities. Thematic Semesters that have already been financed and implemented may be the subject of a Follow-up project, to encourage long-term partnerships.
A thematic semester or a follow-up of project involves research actions, training and scientific animations. Below is a non-exhaustive list of possible actions:

- A thematic school, addressing both young researchers and a more confirmed public;
- One or several workshops and/or international conferences;
- Invitations of international experts for medium-term stays;
- M2 internships co-supervised between several laboratories.

Thematic semester projects: between 50k€ and 70k€. Follow-up of Thematic semester projects, between €15k to €50k.
