Introduction

Designed in perfect continuity with the UNESCO convention, this training program aims to train professionals in the intangible heritage of the regions in which they work, and to train them in presenting, promoting, organizing and advertising this heritage.

Graduates must be able to play a role in safeguarding the tangible and intangible cultural heritage of a region. They develop and implement actions to promote this heritage and contribute to preparing publications on any type of media for this purpose. They design and implement educational and cultural projects for a variety of audiences in order to provide broad access to cultural and heritage assets. Finally, they ensure the administrative and financial follow-up of projects, evaluate actions and adjust them based on results obtained. By the end of the program, graduates know: - The different aspects of the regional heritage: regional language and culture, ethnological aspects, living arts, regional history and geography, art history and aesthetics. - The professional disciplines involved. - How to organize a museum environment, to mount an exhibition and to best present the heritage. - How to safeguard the heritage (particularly archives). - How to showcase the heritage for the general public. - How to transmit the local cultural knowledge communicated orally and know-how. - Demonstrate a good level of general culture and fluency in writing French.

Training in a professional situation: tutored project and at least 12 weeks of internship. Knowledge of the intangible heritage: - Define this concept in all its aspects and be able to identify it. - Acquire knowledge about the regional languages and how they shape the environment. - Transmit and promote this cultural diversity. Knowledge of the tangible heritage: - Define this concept in all its aspects and be able to identify it. - Adjust this concept of heritage to local realities, particularly the artistic and historical heritage. - Become familiar with the research tools used. Knowledge of the theory and practice of heritage conservation and presentation: - Be able to justify the existence of professions relating to heritage safeguarding and be familiar with these professional circles. - Be able to organize a museum environment, to mount an exhibition and to best present the heritage. - Promote the heritage and make it accessible to the general public.
