Introduction
TheMaster's in Information-Communicationtrains students in research and the information-communication professions.
As part of the Master 1, orientation towards research is initiated, notably through the writing of a research paper. In Master 2, the student has the opportunity to pursue research by choosing the DISTIC: Digital Studies, Information and Communication track.
Other specializations, oriented towards professionalization, are proposed through 5 distinct tracks:
EMIC - Event Management, Mediation and Engineering of Culture-Current Arts, Museums and Heritage
ICONES (formerly CCOSII) - Engineering of Organizational, Digital and Strategic Communication
ICCD - Innovation Creation and Digital Communication
COMEDD - Eco-citizen Communication, Heritage and Sustainable Development
DISTIC - Digital Studies, Information and Communication
Objectives
The Master’s in Information, Communication leads to the acquisition of deep knowledge in information sciences and communication. The program promotes the development of expertise from an ambitious methodological perspective.
More specifically for each course, the objectives are as follows:
DISTIC track
Studies and research in the field of information and communication in their digital ecosystem: epistemological foundations, methodological choices, construction of a problem, learning methods related to digital humanities, knowledge of new digital environments. It can therefore be effective preparation for doctoral studies.
EMIC track
Prepares executives capable of coordinating and directing projects or assisting the management of cultural facilities in the establishment of a coherent, mobilizing development and communication policy, adapted to the specificities of each cultural field and to regional particularities;
ICONES track (formerly CCOSII)
A professional approach that emphasizes vocational training in a company or institution (apprenticeship or professionalization contract) leading to the knowledge of new digital communication. The program aims for students to master digital information and communication engineering in the service of organizations' proactive and innovative communication strategies through the knowledge of socio-economic, competitive, cultural, sectoral, local, global, political, internal, national, international, digital and technological current and potential environments.
ICCD track
The aim is to train executives or entrepreneurs to support digital transition in companies and institutions. In the service of creation and innovation, this course allows students to acquire strategic, aesthetic and technical skills. It prepares them to integrate into creative agencies, communication agencies, innovative companies, start-ups, and industrial groups.
Students are trained in the creative direction of projects, emerging project management techniques, digital creation tools and techniques, social innovation and service design.
COMEDD track
Prepares communicators in sustainable development who are able to implement eco-citizen communication, in order to relay the organizations’ commitment to sustainable development and to mobilize their projects in terms of; awareness, education, proximity and crisis communication, institutional communication, etc.
Specificities
The program is organized around a common Master 1 and five completely differentiated Master 2 tracks.
TheMaster 1is organized around different teaching units (UE):
Epistemology of info-comis divided between the two semesters in the form of lectures to address the epistemological foundations of the discipline.
Research methodologywill be divided between a CM in the first semester and TD of methodology distributed over the two semesters to offer the students a methodological framework for the development of their memory.
PAO toolsover the two semesters, which allows students to acquire the tools of desktop publishing, online publishing, project management and English as applied to information-communication through face-to-face TD and distance learning
Finally, over the two semesters a "UE specialty" that, depending on which Master’s track students are enrolled, will provide specific lessons to selected specialties. The entire UE of Master 1 allows the student to acquire 30 ECTS. The remaining 30 will be taught in the second year of the Master’s program.
The DISTIC track:
4 fundamental teaching modules including methodology, epistemology, research and documentation
4 applied research modules including two to choose from: media and journalism; organizational communication; uses of ICTs; art, heritage and creation

Methodology seminars
The EMIC track:
Theoretical courses: conveying knowledge of concepts, issues, institutions and actors that structure the fields of culture, creation, communication and cultural engineering, particularly cultural mediation and management of cultural projects.
Methodologies required for the design, direction, communication and management of cultural projects: marketing, communication strategies, design, programming, cultural project management, etc.
Individualized professionalization track: professional and internship workshops
The ICONES track:
1st semester
Core UE on Organizational Communication and Interculturality
Core UE in specialties: Crisis Communication, Project Engineering and Collective Intelligence, Communication and Organization Assessment
Optional UE to choose from: Organizations, Sustainable Quality/Technical Devices and Digitization/Organizational Imaging ICT/Identity Issues
2nd semester
Core UE: Organizational Communications and Interculturality
UE Professional English
UE Memory
Core UE in specialties, Creativity, Intercultural Mediation and Semantic Web
The ICCD track:
A traditional project-oriented course of the INFOCOM Master’s.
Some lessons of the specific courses in M1 and M2 are shared between several courses.
At the M2-level, the program integrates tutorial projects carried out throughout the year (conception, realization, modification).
Students choose either to undertake a 450h internship or to participate in a DEMOLA project for at least the equivalent duration.
The COMEDD track:
It is held over 3 days of courses to facilitate students' access to professional contracts with 3 days of classes and 2 in companies. Some courses are shared with other training programs focused on sustainable development.
