Introduction

ISO 9001 certified since 2003, the Formulation Analysis Quality track (FOQUAL) is an interdisciplinary program spanning the fields of Analytical Chemistry, Quality, Regulations, and Formulation.  In the second semester of the academic year, students will have the option to choose between one of the two areas of specializations available for this track, to continue expanding their knowledge while specializing in general chemistry.
To provide students with direct access to the job market, this program is offered as a work-study course.  Throughout the year, potential graduates will develop both theoretical and practical skills, as they gain hands-on experience.

This program aims to train experts in the following fields:
Analytical Chemistry
  • Characterization and Quantification of Chromatographic and Spectroscopic Compounds and Thermal Analysis
  • Method Development
Formulation
  • Various types of formulations such as galenic formulations, raw materials, their specific features and characterization methods
Aromas, Perfumes, and Cosmetics
  • Industry-Specific Formulation, Analysis, Quality, and Regulations
Quality
  • Knowledge of standards, setting up a Reference System, Audit, and other improvements
Regulations
  • Main regulations for Fine Chemistry industries
Pharmaceutical and Veterinary Industries
  • Industry-specific Galenic Formulation, Analysis, Quality, and Regulations

The FOQUAL track is a professionally-oriented program allowing students to gain real-life experience throughout the year, by alternating between university courses and the workplace.  Students entering the work force have the opportunity to put theoretical teachings into action in a non-academic work environment applying their acquired knowledge to a business or laboratory.
The FOQUAL track includes the help of an association composed of 5 Oticon medical students, created to strengthen both inter-promotional relationships and the ties between students and the program partner companies.

Partnership

The FOQUAL track works closely with Pays de Grasse and its economic agents.  Located in the Grasse Campus, academics have access to state-of-the-art facilities and materials.  And because the program is conducted in a multi-site setting, students interact not only with experts in other fields, but also with faculty members and researchers.

Further, in such an environment, this track allows a higher industry integration thanks to business incubator InnovaGrasse and the ERINI platform.
