Nicolas MEUNIER from Université d'Evry Val d'Essonne will present the seminar "Construction of a cell motility model: mathematical analysis and numerical simulations" Wednesday 22 may 2024 at 10:30 AM - Bâtiment FIZEAU - 5ème étage

Cell migration plays a key role in many physiological processes, such as embryogenesis, wound repair and metastasis. It is the result of a complex activity involving different scales of time and space. After detailing the construction of the model, I will present rigorous results, in particular on the existence of travelling wave-type solutions and numerical simulations.

Key words: complex multi-scale processes; active fluid; free boundary problem with surface tension; travelling waves; bifurcation.
